Malakoff Interstate Fellowship Ride Updates |
Transportation will be provided for those without support vehicle from youth back to Auto City on the 1st January 2010. Departure time is at 3.00pm. ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| Participants without support vehicles are advised to park their car on the island and cycle to the starting line in Auto-city, Juru. The first ferry from the island is at 5.30am. Cycling on the Penang bridge is prohibited. Do not cross the bridge by bicycle to get to the starting line. ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| EITHER your MyKad or registration receipt will be sufficient for ride registration. For goodies collection on the end of 2nd day ONLY rider's plate will be accepted. NO OTHER FORM of identification will be entertain for goodies collection. 29 DECEMBER 2009 ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| Good cycling etiquettes to observe Headsets, headphones and mobile phones are strictly prohibited while cycling. Stop by the roadside if answering phone calls are unavoidable. A bare torso will not be permitted while cycling. The responsibility of keeping on the course rests with the participants. Any participant who appears to present a danger to themselves or others may be removed from the ride. Participants must allow reasonable space for others to make normal movements or for overtaking without making contact. Participants are not allowed to block others. Allow others to overtake/pass if facing difficulties at steep climbs. Participants must obey all traffic laws (governed by the Malaysian Road Transport Ministry) at all time unless otherwise directed by Marshals. No wheel may contain mechanisms, which are capable of accelerating it. Support vehicles are not allowed to overtake peloton unless advised otherwise by Marshals.

A trial ride will be conducted on the 1st November 2009, starting at Auto City (N05º20.249’ E100º25.696’), near Citibank area, at 7.30am. Marshals will escort the ride.
